A star is born!
Well actually, 2 stars are born!
The winning outfit from the Waterside Fashion Star 2010 competition was a collaboration of sleek tailoring and innovative production techniques by 2 students from the University Lincoln who teamed up for their entry.The jacket was produced by Ioanna Hadjiantoniou and the skirt by Emily Jones.
The competition was fierce and nearly 1800 votes were received!
The two girls shared the £500 prize and said;
“Finding out that I was a winner of the Fashion Star 2010 competition, was such a proud moment for me. I felt a real sense of achievement when I realised I had created something that was not only the most fashion forward, but also, voted the most desirable, by members of the public. Winning has really given me confidence in my work, and the £250 prize will certainly allow my graduate collection to become something I am again hugely proud of. A big thank you to everyone who voted!”

As students we get many opportunities for competitions and work placements. It's just a matter of being passionate and consistent about what we do.”
